VIRTUAL TOURS
Virtual tours are facilitated video explorations of the museum galleries to explore the history of and science behind the automobile. The tours will be broken into segments so that each lesson is digestible and will allow for better student engagement. While you and your class are watching the tour, you will have a video conference with a museum educator who can answer questions in real time. Each Virtual Tour will include pre- and post-visit materials to be used in the classroom as well as worksheets and activities to be completed during the tour to help facilitate learning.
Our Virtual Tours have been designed to allow for customization so that we may better fit into your classroom curriculum. The tours are broken down by grade level and follow California Curriculum Standards. Each tour will be a 60-minute experience broken down into four segments. Teachers will choose which four segments they want their students to experience. Each segment is 7-10 minutes long followed by a short question and answer session with a museum educator to encourage student participation and understanding. Some segments may include an activity that will be facilitated by the museum educator during the segment.
