Volkswagen Type 2 DeLuxe Microbus
The Volkswagen Type 2 DeLuxe Microbus, also known as the Transporter, was first imported to the United States in 1952. The Transporter, along with the Beetle, played a large role in establishing Volkswagen’s brand identity throughout Southern California in the 1950s and ’60s. These vehicles became popular with the local surfers and beach culture, due to their affordable cost, simple mechanics, customizable features, and unique style. Volkswagen’s planned ID. BUZZ will build upon the tradition of the Transporter line to provide Volkswagen fans with a new interpretation of the 1950s classic.
