Up for auction on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is an unmodified 1988 BMW M3 that’s been driven 62,914 miles since new.

“Based on the E30-chassis 3-Series, the M3 model launched as a performance-tuned variant in coupe and convertible form beginning in 1986,” the auction house notes in the coupe’s listing. “Special treatment was applied to the body including the front air dam, side sills, trunk spoiler, and rear apron in the interest of optimized aerodynamics.”

This example is finished in Alpine white and features body-colored bumpers with black moldings, black door handles, and dual-outlet polished exhaust system at the driver side rear.

The interior is upholstered with black leather bucket seats with matching door panels, headliner, carpeting and a dash that is noted to have no cracks. Amenities include a factory radio, electric sunroof, air conditioning, and power windows.

Power comes from a DOHC 2.3-liter S14 inline-4 housed beneath an aftermarket aluminum strut tower brace. The engine is linked to a console-shifted Getrag 265 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differentials.

This M3’s auction ends September 27 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.
