1973 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA MATCHBOX BY MR. BRAINWASH

Street artist Thierry Guetta, known as Mr. Brainwash, loves the nostalgia of old cars. “A car is a sculpture that can drive,” he says. “And it's not going to drive you only where you want to go, but it's going to drive you back to your memory. So if you have a 1973 RS Porsche, you're going back to 1973!” This full-car-sized Matchbox Porsche 911 Carrera RS, created in 2023 for debut in the We Are Porsche exhibition, was inspired by a similar earlier work by Guetta that he typically displays in his Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills. “The Porsche is everybody’s kid inside of them.”
