Lamborghini debuted the Murciélago coupe in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo. Two years later the roadster version was introduced, followed by the more powerful LP 640 coupé, which featured an aluminum V-12 engine that called to mind the company’s first production engine in 1963. Like important vehicles piloted by the stars of other action films, this Murciélago was driven by Tyrese Gibson in the eighth installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, The Fate of the Furious (2017), in which it was employed as the “hero car.”
