1932 FORD FLATHEAD ROADSTER
AS SEEN IN IRON MAN (2008) AND IRON MAN II (2010)
An ideal platform for both aesthetic and mechanical alteration, the 1932 Ford spoke directly to the post-war youth culture and regularly appeared in both film and television. Having lost none of its relevance, the Deuce continues to serve as a connection to this period of history. Appearing in both Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man II (2010), this classically themed flathead roadster was used to symbolize Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) growth from a rebellious, eccentric billionaire into a newly forged superhero. In addition to inspiring the color scheme of Iron Man’s suit, it was used to underscore Stark’s evolving relationship with his deceased father, Howard Stark (John Slattery).
