1932 FORD “MCGEE ROADSTER”
THE QUINTESSENTIAL HOT ROD
Constructed by noted hot rod builder Bob McGee beginning in 1947, the “McGee Roadster” introduced an overall look that quickly became the inspiration for numerous hot rods to follow. Soon after it was completed, the innovative rod was designated the "Safety Council Roadster" at the first Southern California Timing Association (SCTA) rally. It also appeared in many classic films and TV shows, such as Happy Days (1974-1984), helping it become an icon for a generation. Over the years, the car underwent many additional modifications before being restored to its original configuration in the late 1990s.
