With a quality of construction seen only in the most extravagant multi-million-dollar hypercars, Curtiss Motors’, The One, occupies a unique position among motorcycles. There is nothing ordinary or traditional about its design, from a novel front and rear suspension to the shape of its finned liquid-cooled battery case. Extensive use of machined structural parts provide an opportunity to combine strength with aesthetic statements, giving The One a remarkable retro-futuristic style. The Art Nouveau curves of its chassis plates are functional, though, and the curved ribs elegantly follow the lines of stress on the components and provide a heat sink for increased thermal efficiency.
